Retail packaging for produce
The passion for our sustainability journey is carried through the entire organization. Our products protect content, prevent food waste and we are proud of that. A sustainability journey is only viable if we collaborate toward our common goals throughout the supply chain.
Our general definition of sustainability
In NNZ, sustainability means nurturing and building long-lasting relationships with our employees, customers and suppliers. NNZ believes in progress, for humans and for the environment. We embrace the United Nations sustainability development goals (UN SDG’s) and incorporate these in our day-to-day business.
Common goals throughout the supply chain
The passion for our sustainability journey is carried through the entire organization. Our products protect content, prevent food waste and we are proud of that. A sustainability journey is only viable if we collaborate toward our common goals throughout the supply chain. The objective of our efforts is not only to encourage transparency within the value chain but also to provide suppliers at earlier stages of ESG maturity with a best-practice governance framework on which they can build their excellence for our mutual sustainability agenda.
Our aim and aspiration for sustainable growth
We aim for sustainable growth of our business through the production and delivery of safe and innovative packaging that exceeds our partners’ expectations. Our aspiration is to support more customers in building a sustainable packaging product portfolio, focusing on circularity, recycled content and environmental impact. Sustainability is embedded into the heart of our business, not least because of our packaging solution’s intrinsic strengths and indispensable vehicle to reduce food waste. More than that, we are focused on making sustainability a foundational pillar of our ongoing business transformation. We are committed to reduce environmental impact, as far and as fast as possible.
Our strategy
Our ‘Sustainable partner of choice’ strategy consists of three pillars that reflect our organizational priorities: customer, employees, suppliers. Within each of our three pillars, we have identified priority areas based on a materiality assessment. These areas are aligned with the high materiality topics and associated UN SDGs that we feel are most relevant to our business and are further associated with concrete key performance indicators and targets that we aim to achieve by or before 2030.
